Why create multiple streams for your online radio station?

With RadioKing you have the possibility of creating as many radios as you want with only one account. It’s perfect for managing your different radios easily with a single click.

But how and why create multiple radio streams? Here are some examples where the creation of a multi-stream for your online radio station can be interesting.

Develop your local radio station

Is the popularity of your local radio station is beginning to grow beyond the borders of your territory? Congratulations, it is therefore time to think about offering local programmes and information adapted to your new listeners. Analyze where these listeners come from and create a second local radio station that is focused on their area.

Example: If your radio is called Radio South, why not use the concept Radio South-East or Radio South-West.

Create thematic streams

If your radio is more of a generalist radio station, creating thematic streams is a good way to diversify your audience. Indeed, it is an opportunity to create a programming that is different from your main radio. This allows you to create several thematic online radio stations.

Example: If your radio is rock oriented, open a Rock 80′ themed radio.

Catch-up stream

Do your listeners tend to miss their favourite programs due to bas timing? Why not offer them a catch-up stream. Easier to set up than podcasts (especially if you play music), the catch-up stream allows your listeners to listen to you with a delay.

You can choose to carry out an H+1 or even H+12 stream, it is up to you to determine the most judicious catch-up!

Top Tip: This can come in handy if your listeners are spread across multiple time zones!

Ephemeral stream

It’s summer and for this occasion why not create a temporary stream to offer your listeners a more summery program. The creation of ephemeral streams allows you to create an event and expand your audience. You can create a radio for a few days for a festival, a show, etc.. This will allow you to reach other listeners who may become listeners of your main radio once your ephemeral radio is finished.

Top Tip: With RadioKing, you can turn your radio station on and off whenever you want, take advantage of this secondary stream to offer ephemeral radios at different times of the year (Halloween, Christmas, etc.). You can even propose to create an ephemeral radio for your town, an opportunity to monetize your know-how.

Test a new concept

Want to test a new idea or show, but want to start from scratch? Creating a new stream can be super useful. You will have the opportunity to let your imagination run wild and start your new project on a new basis.
